Do you spend so much time working and taking care of things that need to be done that you don’t take time to enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature?  After ten years of raising butterflies, I am still captivated by my experiences and enthusiastically encourage you to experience the phenomenon yourself.  You don’t need to be a kid to enjoy watching Mother Nature at work. Become a participant in the journey. Observe the phenomenon of metamorphosis a butterfly goes through on its journey from an egg to a caterpillar, then to a chrysalis, and finally as a beautiful Monarch butterfly. The whole process can take as little as one month.

Who? You and your friends, co-workers, neighbors, relatives.

What? Raise a Monarch Butterfly

Where? At home, work, school, nursing homes, hospice and treatment centers, group homes.

When? When the butterflies are flying, during June, July, and August.

Why? Because it’s, fun, free, fast, environmentally friendly, educational and easy.

Becoming a Caterpillar Caregiver is easy. Do it on your own or invite me to do a presentation for your next monthly staff meeting, your grandma’s birthday party, or your corporate summer picnic. Raising a caterpillar is an intriguing pastime that is a great team building opportunity. Develop a bond with your kids, grandkids, co workers, friends and neighbors by becoming a caterpillar caregiver. Learn when to observe: A butterfly laying an egg, a caterpillar hatching from an egg, shedding its skin, and turning into a chrysalis, or a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis.
